La Plazita After School Program

​

La Plazita After School Program serves children from K to 5th grade in the Oakland area.  We are not able to pick up from other schools as in years past. We are encouraging parents to carpool, otherwise. Kids may be dropped off on site. We will only pick up students from Sequoia Elementary and Laurel Elementary School this year.  Teachers will meet students on site and walk to our La Plazita Community Building after school.

The program runs from 3-6 pm Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri and 1-6 on Wed.  We provide one snack a day for kids. The cost for full time Monday to Friday attendance is $550 with a $100 deposit and a $10 processing fee. Children are immersed in Spanish from the moment they are picked up to when they go home.

​We learn more than Spanish at LPCB. We practice a variety of sports indoors and out: soccer, baseball, basketball to name a few. Our dance and movement classes are accessible to kids of all skill levels. We provide culture, art, and performance opportunities throughout the year to bring out the creativity in all of us.​ Activities include music, art, Spanish language, sports, cooking and lots of games.

​We have special after-hours activities for the whole family to participate in. A performance night, an art exhibit with a gallery opening, a movie night for kids and more activities to be announced throughout the year.

We have three rounds of registration this year.  Our first round is open to students who attend our After School Program Full Time Monday through Friday. If we do not reach capacity, our second round will be for part time students that attend consecutive days. In our third round we will accept one day or split day enrollment depending on availability.
