Beginning Spanish for Parents
This is a fun and dynamic course for people learning Spanish for the first time or furthering a beginning level Spanish. Our families will have the opportunity to learn the language their children practice at school and at the same time socialize and share experiences with other families of our community.
The class will be held in our building at 3637 Magee Ave. Child care will be provided at the 35th Avenue school. If your child is at La Plazita II we will bring them to III for childcare.
The class will start on January 17th and run through March 28th.
Cost is $220 with no child care
If you’re on a Full time with after care plan, cost is course fee $220 plus $60 for extra 40 minutes of child care.
Cost with childcare is $350 (includes after care cost for 1.5 hours x 11 days of class)
Oaktown Ballers
Oaktown Ballers is dedicated to training the game of softball and baseball at a high-level for girls and boys from diverse socioeconomic means.
Oaktown is especially dedicated to improving the skills of girls ages 8 – 18, particularly minority girls such as African-American, Latino and Asian, in competitive softball in the Oakland, California area. Oaktown Ballers believes that money should not be an impediment to becoming an amazing athlete. The girls and boys that attend Oaktown are trained at the highest level possible to provide leadership and training that could lead to advanced level athletic opportunities throughout high school and college.
Oaktown Latin Dance Crew
Maestra Xime is forming a brand new Latin Dance Crew at La Plazita Community Building, which is only 2 doors down from La Plazita 3. Open to boys and girls ages 6 to 10 years of age. Kids will learn modern Latin dance and folkloric styles. Class meets Saturday mornings from 9 to 10 am starting on January 25th until April 6th.
